Nursery &
Preschool

AGED 3 MONTHS TO 4 YEARS

Our Nursery & Preschool offers year round childcare for children aged 3 months to 4 years. The excellent links between the Children’s Centre and Nursery & Preschool mean that you and your child can benefit from full wrap-around support.

All-day care

We offer all-day care 51 weeks of the year, for children with ages ranging from 3 months to 4 years. Our fully inclusive cohort comprises children who are both fee paid and those who are funded by an Employment Social Security (ESS) grant, as well as children whose families claim 15 hours funded childcare a week in the year before they attend school.

The ESS grant enables children of low-income families to access free nursery and preschool education alongside their peers. We have an allocation of 100 hours per week, spread across approximately 12 families. Most children who join us stay until they move to school, providing continuity and stability.

Not-for-profit

Our Nursery & Preschool was set up with the intention to support our island community. We keep our fees as low as possible to cover staff wages, running costs and resources. Any profit is channelled back into our Children’s Centre to benefit all families accessing our services.

We provide a cooked lunch every day, charged at a nominal fee, which is prepared by Les Cotils and delivered by our generous volunteers.
